Here are some pictures from 2018, the year I began to visit zoos often. All are from the Columbus Zoo unless noted.
water monitor - the signage is unclear at to the species |
markhor |
black-and-white colobus |
trumpeter swan |
alligator snapping turtle - I once saw a keeper feeding this one with a pair of long tongs. The shell is 2 1/2 to 3 feet long. |
cockatiel (Toledo Zoo) |
Dalmatian pelican. These birds are large. (Toledo Zoo) |
Love the swan shot. Beth
ReplyDeleteLove the Pelicans-they are big and intimidating in real life!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you caught the markhor in mid jump. Great still shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm always happy to get a markhor in flight, but I'm often too slow because I look away.
